Saving money is always an accomplishment, especially when learning to budget. I remember when I started using the apps (listed above) and saw that I was saving a little money. Boy! I was motivated to keep using the apps. I even wanted to share the app with family and friends.
Here are a few things you can do with the funds you saved:
First, after you cashed out your money, you can place the money in your savings account. Having a savings of any kind is always a good thing. But its ok to also share by giving. I know maybe its hard for some people to give what they worked hard for to save, but giving is also encouraging and motivating the soul. When giving joyfully, the souls feels unspeakable happiness.
What happens when you feel happy? You are motivated to do more good deeds. The bible says, “God loves a cheerful giver”.
Begin to rethink your money. Beginning with your budgeting journey and in the midst of your journey, try giving/ donating to organizations that matter. Here are a few that I know of:
Adopt a Native Elder is an organization, who are helping our native elderly people with basic needs such as food box, firewood, school necessities for children, and more.
Chizh for Chei is another small organization that was created about 9 years ago to help native elderly people who live in remote areas. They work tirelessly each day to collect wood and deliver them to elderly homes across the Navajo Nation.
Among some of these organizations, there are also individuals who work from home with their hands by making things such as masks, blankets, rugs, clothes, and more. Here are a few:
Here is a young mother who loves to help in a small way. She loves to make youTube videos, bringing you along her journey as a mom and another on the way. She makes items to sell or to giveaway as donations to help our people. To find out more about her visit her youTube channel here.
More will be added as we learn of them.
