Whole Armor of God: The Feet Shod of Peace
As I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death, I shall fear no evil. With every step I took into my walk with God, I needed to be at peace. The peace of God is something I needed through the current situation I am walking through right now. Today it’s all about the FEET SHOD of PEACE.
The feet shod is a shoe that a Roman soldier wore when preparing for battle. It covered him from just above the knee all the way to the bottom of his feet. The sole of the shoe was made thick enough that if he stepped on a nail, the nail would not penetrate through the sole and injure him. These shoes were also made to stomp on the enemy, it had spikes underneath, which also helped in sure footing on rough terrain.
In the same way, when wearing the feet shod of peace, we stomp on the enemy when he tries to move you from your peaceful place. With a sure footing structure in your walk with God, you would not be pushed around by the devil but instead you will have a firm stance over the enemy (devil). Going back to the Belt of Truth, you will need to be girded in the word of God to have a stance and to ensure sure footing. God says to have the full Armor of God so that you will be able to STAND against the wiles of the devil (enemy).
As brother Rondale explained, just how God says you will STAND against the wiles… He reassures us that we will be victors in Christ as long as we stay in God’s word.
I have not been in God’s word like I should. In my current situation, I unknowingly allowed the enemy to move me around, out of my place of peace. I felt jealousy, anger, and stubbornness. Anything my husband said to me, I didn’t want to hear it. I wanted to block it all out until I was delivered.
Pastor Rondale Anderson explains the peace of God very clearly in the video below.
