What Type Of Foundation Do you Have In Place?
Latter Rain Ministries hosted by Rondale Anderson.
I learned early on that a foundation in Christ Jesus is the best ground to be on. There is no other foundation like this one. Building your faith in Jesus Christ is nothing like anything else in this world. When you get the first taste of Christ by hearing his word, you will end up wanting more and generate a thirst for righteousness.
When I’m on the reservation, I love to attend a revival, especially the Latter Rain Ministries. It was under this ministry where I learn to sing in Christ. Where I first began to attend church was with Pastor Tom Ellson in TeecNosPos, AZ. It was there where God began to teach me. My true grow started when I came to Pastor Julia Coleman’s church. Although all the pastors in my life have touched me in ways I’ll never forget, Pastor Coleman taught me how to live on the face of this earth.
I met Pastor Julia Coleman when I called Pastor Rondale Anderson, if he knew a Pastor in Phoenix. We needed to a church to call our home church. He told us about Pastor Julia Coleman, we looked her up and went to her church. We never left. I love her church. (have a listen to her preach)
A Story of My Visit to A Revival
At this revival, a minister, Ruebin Begay preached about the three little pigs. Once upon a time there were three little pigs. One pig built a house of straw while the second pig built his house with sticks. They built their houses very quickly and then sang and danced all day because they were lazy. The third little pig worked hard all day and built his house with bricks. This little pig made sure the house he built was sturdy and strong.
A big bad wolf saw the two little pigs while they danced and played and thought, “What juicy tender meals they will make!” He chased the two pigs and they ran and hid in their houses. The big bad wolf went to the first house and huffed and puffed and blew the house down in minutes. The frightened little pig ran to the second pig’s house that was made of sticks. The big bad wolf now came to this house and huffed and puffed and blew the house down in hardly any time. Now, the two little pigs were terrified and ran to the third pig’s house that was made of bricks.
The big bad wolf tried to huff and puff and blow the house down, but he could not. He kept trying for hours but the house was very strong and the little pigs were safe inside. He tried to enter through the chimney but the third little pig boiled a big pot of water and kept it below the chimney. The wolf fell into it and died. The two little pigs now felt sorry for having been so lazy. They too built their houses with bricks and lived happily ever after.
The message was knowing your roots from where you build your foundation upon. Make sure your foundation is built on Jesus, who is the Rock that we build upon. By reading and meditating upon his word builds our inner man (soul) great character. Our minds, body, and spirit begins to recognized that God is the one who we will trust and that he will provide.
